Electrocardiogram (EKG) is a test that can be helpful in diagnosing potentially dangerous conditions of the heart. The athlete’s heart can have changes unique that may look abnormal on a routine EKG and can cause alert and lead to unnecessary referrals and testing. Dr. Clearfield has additional training in the interpretation of the athlete’s EKG and can make the determination whether referral is needed.
